So Where Do We Go From Here?

Today began a new school year for so many people (and it's getting close for those who have yet to start).  It is exciting and thrilling to begin again! At the same time, this year even in the midst of my excitement, I found myself getting apprehensive and anxious.  Questions about how to connect all the amazing and motivating things I learned this past summer to what I do in my work pervades my thoughts.  So I ask, "when we come to a new chapter, how do we take what we've learned and use that learning to infuse the right now?"        First, we must consistently place what we've learned before our face.  Think on it.  Meditate on the miracles G-D has done in our lives.  How he has lovingly brought us to where we are today and where we will go by His grace.        Second, intentionally use those times of "stuttering" in faith as fulcrums for transformation.  Yes, believe it or not, those time...

Why Should I Keep My Head Up?

Lately it seems like so many people I know have been going through some serious challenges.  Challenges with health, family illness, job security, workplace concerns, financial duress, family members passing away, disappointments, and more.  And it does not help when we live in a world that constantly threatens our faith, scorns the G-D we serve, and yet makes ample room for leaders who mishandle our trust. That "Righteous Fox"

In our society, we as women, juggle so many balls.  Many of us are daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, friends, advisers, mentors, leaders, comedians, social workers, advocates, pet owners, professionals, business owners, home chefs, caretakers, and much more--ALL AT THE SAME TIME.  We engage with our families and communities on multiple fronts.        This week, as I was grappling with how I would establish myself in the different facets of my life I "happened" upon a portion of the Word that spoke so loud and clear to my heart.  It brought tears to my eyes, because I knew that the L-RD had heard the silent cry of my spirit. I knew that He had specifically given me a word by which to define my entire new year.  Here's a snippet of what He said, "Establish yourself through righteousness..." (Isaiah 54:14)  Seems simple; yet so impactful.       I believe that many times we, as women, are tempted to est...
