     Today was a day where the Lord's kindness was so evident.  It truly resembled the verse that states, "Let me hear Your kindness in the morning for in You I have placed my trust..." (Psalm 143:8).  In some very critical situations today the Lord graciously and so kindly gave me courage in some challenging situations.  And I had to ponder the question? Why do we lack the courage that we need to speak with intention and purpose, to lead with clarity and vision, and to initiate with courage?  Sometimes we are weighted with fear of rejection or perhaps even more so the gravity of imperfection.  Often the keen awareness of our own shortcomings will force us into silence and it is then that we must dig into our Heavenly Father's grace that indeed makes all things new!      We have all said it, "But, I can just get a little more done."  We've said it to the neglect of our lunch, restroom break, fitness, family and our faith.  It happens in those times of crisis where we feel stuck between the choice of accomplishing one more task on the never-ending "to do" list or completing a life-time task on the "must be" list.  I am one of those folks with an insatiable appetite for excellence in everything that I do.  I am also one of those that can easily stay fueled on adrenaline and passion; instead of water and a hearty lunch.  This year has been especially challenging with an ever-climbing list of responsibilities and commitments.  I do not think there is a secret "sauce" to getting it all done; but I do think there is a disciplined practice to assessing the true value of things by God's standards and not our own self-critique or others' expectations.      It's simple and we have heard it time and...

     It's the holiday season. Which means lots of great food, football, and the greatest gift--family. But, as we (talking to us single ladies here) all know with family gatherings also comes that age old question, "So have you found a man yet?" Ahhhh! If you haven't heard this well-intentioned question yet; just wait...you will.      Many, if not all, of us have been asked at some time and in some fashion, "Awww you're so amazing why hasn't some man swept you off your feet yet?"
